VALIDITY PERIOD OF YOUR SPORTSTICKER

You can purchase Sportsticker whenever you want throughout the year but keep in mind that Sportsticker remains valid for only one academic year each time. The old Sportsticker subscription ends on June 30 and a new Sportsticker subscription starts on July 1.

CAN I PURCHASE A BASIC-FIT SUBSCRIPTION WITH MY SPORTSTICKER?

As a student or staff member, you can claim the Basic-Fit annual subscription discount.

WHEN?

You can purchase a discounted Basic-Fit annual subscription at any time of the year as long as you have a valid Sportsticker. Please note, Sportsticker remains valid for one academic year (see FAQ ‘How long is my Sportsticker valid?’). This differs from a Basic-Fit annual subscription that remains valid for one year, regardless of when you purchased it.

HOW?

  1. Download the Sportsticker app in the Apple Appstore or Google Playstore.
  2. Log in with your account*.
  3. Go to Basic Fit Middelheim with your smartphone.
  4. A staff member will have a QR code scanned by you (Verifying that you have a valid Sportsticker).
  5. Screen = Green; you can purchase a (fitness) subscription with a student discount.

*Use the same smartphone every time. Your account will be automatically locked if you switch devices and reinstall the app.

ACCOUNT & APPLICATION

RESERVATION

You can book a spot to participate in one or more group classes or rent a sports hall through the online reservation tool. Just follow these steps:

  • Go to the online reservation tool
  • Log in with your Sportsticker webaccount*
  • Select the right week
  • Select the type of sport you want to participate in via ‘Category’
  • Select the right location
  • Click on the prefered session and complete your registration
  • If the session is full it will appear as gray instead of green

*The account with which you purchased/activated your Sportsticker.


CANCELING

Have you changed your mind or do you suddenly feel ill and do you want to cancel an existing reservation? This can easily be done through the reservation tool.

  • Go to ‘My reservations’
  • Select the session you want to cancel
  • Click on ‘Cancel reservation’

USING THE APP

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to use the Sportsticker app.

  • Download the app in the Apple Appstore or Google Playstore.
  • Login with your Sportsticker webaccount*.
  • You must always use the same smartphone.  If you switch devices and reinstall the app, your account will be automatically blocked to prevent fraud. Send an email to info@sportsticker.be to unblock it.
    • If you signed up for a sports session, bring your smartphone to this activity.
      • You must use the app to scan the QR code hanging out at the entry gate/the gatekeeper before you get acess to the sports session
    • At our external partners, you will also find a QR code that you have to scan with the app to get a discount. You do not have to register/login in advance to get a discount with a sports partner.
  • If you have a valid Sportsticker the app will turn green and you’ll get access to the sport session/discount from a partner. Attention: if you didn’t sign up for the sport session , the app will turn red and you’ll have no access.

*The Sportsticker webaccount is the account with which you purchased/activated your Sportsticker.

PROBLEMS WITH LOGIN APP

An error message when logging into the application may be due to one of the following:

  • You started using a new smartphone on which you reinstalled the app. Since then, the app has not been working
    Send an email to info@sportsticker.be.
  • Make sure you are using the correct login credentials. These are the same data as your Sportsticker web account*.

*The Sportsticker web account is the account you used to purchase/activate your Sportsticker.

PROBLEMS LOGGING IN WEBSITE

  • Are you using the correct e-mail address? Try all your email addresses
  • Forgot your password? Then click ‘Forgot password’ and go to your mailbox to reset your password
  • For ongoing problems, please email info@sportsticker.be

ACCESS TO OUR SPORTS OFFER WITHOUT SMARTPHONE

If you don’t have a smartphone then an alternative entrance ticket will be sent to your mailbox. Just your details to info@sportsticker.be.

DOUBLE PAYMENT

If you have accidentally paid twice for a Sportsticker (e.g. once via bank transfer and once online), you are entitled to a refund. Please email info@sportsticker.be with the correct purchase details so that there can be a refund.

NO VALID SPORTSTICKER ACCOUNT

If you have already paid, but still can’t find a valid Sportsticker in your online web account, it may be due to one of the following:

  • You purchased the Sportsticker by bank transfer
    The payment arrives with some delay in our system. That’s why you’ll get the email with information to activate your Sportsticker, three business days after your payment.
  • You already purchased the Sportsticker more than three business days ago by bank transfer
    Check your student mailbox/spam to see if an email has arrived with information to activate your Sportsticker. Didn’t receive anything? Send an email to info@sportsticker.be to have your payment verified.
  • You purchased the Sportsticker through our website
    If you close your web browser too soon after payment, it may prevent your account from being activated. Please email info@sportsticker.be to have your payment verified and your Sportsticker activated.

DOCUMENTS

CONFIRMATION MAIL NOT RECEIVED

The confirmation email contains important information about Sportsticker and the application. Check your spam folder in your mailbox.
Didn’t get anything? Then send an email to info@sportsticker.be.

Below you will find the most important information.

  • Your Sportsticker 2023-2024 is valid until June 30, 2024.
  • Access control is via the Sportsticker app. Download the Sportsticker app: Apple AppstoreGoogle Playstore.
    • The app is a QR code scanner that gives you access to the various activities.
    • Via the app you can also take advantage of one free swim session (more information) by scanning the correct QR code on location.
    • Don’t own a smartphone? Then send an email to report this to info@sportsticker.be.

Use the app as follows:

  1. Log in with your Sportsticker account details.
  2. Scan the QR code at the entrance gate/hallkeeper/external partner
  3. The app turns green and you get access to the activity/discount at the external partner.

HEALTH INSURANCE FORM

After paying for your Sportsticker, you will receive an email with the link to the reimbursement form. If you did not receive this confirmation email, please send an email to info@sportsticker.be to request it.

Students and staff are always insured for sports accidents. If you de-register from your program during the academic year, your Sportsticker remains valid but you are no longer insured.

Want to report an accident? Contact info@sportsticker.be and a Sportsticker staff member will provide you with the appropriate documents/contact information from your educational institution. It is important you do this as soon as possible.

SPORTSTICKER APP

As of academic year 2020-2021, the physical sports card was replaced by the Sportsticker app and you will no longer receive mail. All information about this digitization can be found in the confirmation email you receive after payment.
